Tile Hard Stone

tub or shower enclosure materials?
Regarding the walls inside a tub or shower enclosure.
My water has alot of iron i guess.. our old acrylic (?plasticy-manufactured home tub) tub gets green from the water and is hard to keep clean.
When I get rid of the tub (and the surround since it's built into it), what would be the best material for the walls inside that area (surrounding the tub on 3 sides)?
Big stone tiles look great but I'd be lousey at keeping groute clean.. is there anything that comes in large thin flat sheets that would make a cool enclosure? Looks count but easy of cleaning is primary. Open to products that are cheap or not. Looking for great ideas!
A high quality tub is key. They clean easily and last for years. Cast iron tubs with a high quality finish is a good choice. Put up the walls so they can be easily removed and replaced. Use acrylic surround or FRP panels. However, I think FRP only comes 4' x 8' so a tub surround would require a seam and trim (not a good idea) or only protect the walls 4' above the tub. A quick remodel sounds like more your speed than housekeeping.
