Powers Drive Pins

Why does the cable for a SATA hard drive have fewer pins than the power connector for the SATA hard drive?

I was just wondering, it didn't make sense to me. Thanks for the help!
Don't worry that's exactly how they are. I guess it's just one of those, "that's how it is" answers.
