Hammer Drill Bit
I need to screw a 3/8 x 3" bolt into a concrete ceiling?
Do I just buy a hammer drill with a 3/8 drill bit, drill a hole and screw this thing in? I just need to hang a chin up bar.
No. Even if you were going to screw a bolt into steel you wouldn't use a drill bit the same size as the bolt. Concrete will not hold a regular threaded bolt. You need to use a concrete anchor of which there are many different designs. Visit your building supply store and go online to decide which one will work best in your situation.
